BRW multi-contrib
2009 and back to work. Hope it is good for all. I have started the year with these 13 illustrations for BRW. I have pumped the images into the ‘work’ page if you want a closer look. The lead page was a design challenge… Head and pointers (see left) to go on the art work which meant the artwork would go over the page break. This was a case though where the problems lead to the solution , if that makes sense to anyone. I got the flow through happening for the rest once I got the lead puzzle worked out.

The stories are….
‘The General’ who has trouble keeping his spoon, hat and other items under command.
‘Not Thinking’ is about a smug little character who thinks not thinking is a good idea. Not!
‘Day’ explores what happens in the course of an ordinary POFO day, which seems to be not much… but is it? (This story is mainly told by multiple pages of funny and elaborate illustration).
‘What time is it’- well who would have thought that the answer to such a simple question could turn out to be longer than this sentence.
And ‘Shapes’. One chaps journey where he discovers there is always 2 sides to every shape.
It can be read, colored in, cut up and easily placed under a pillow.
